Organic follow-on formula (stage 2)
Follow-on milk (also called stage 2 milk) accompanies Baby from 6 to 12 months, alongside the start of weaning. It remains Baby's main source of nutrition until their first birthday, well before solid meals take over.
Why switch to follow-on milk?
The transition happens gently around 6 months. Between 6 and 12 months, Baby needs 500 to 800 ml of infant milk per day, spread across 2 or 3 bottles, alongside purées and fruit compotes. Follow-on milk provides proteins, fats and carbohydrates, as well as key nutrients such as iron, zinc, vitamin D and calcium — all essential for healthy growth.
How do you introduce this new milk?
Take it step by step: Baby first gets used to a bottle or cup with expressed breast milk, then infant milk is gradually introduced — mixed with breast milk at first, then on its own. If Baby refuses the bottle, it is often easier to offer the milk at the start of a feed rather than after the purée, when hunger is at its peak.
Why choose Popote organic follow-on milk?
Made in France from French organic cow's milk, our follow-on milk contains no palm oil: we prefer organic vegetable oils and cream, to preserve the essential fatty acids that support Baby's healthy development.
