Detailed description

QUINTESENS ORGANIC BABY OIL – BLEND OF 5 VEGETABLE OILS – 250 ML

Why did we choose to feature Quintesens on our website?Because Quintesens shares the same values we do: organic, made in France, and free from unnecessary additives.

Renowned for its expertise in creating nutritional oils tailored to every stage of life, Quintesens was the natural choice for supporting your baby's nutritional needs.

Between 4 and 36 months, fat is your baby's primary source of energy, essential fatty acids and vitamin E.

However, by 12 months, deficiencies in DHA and Omega-3 are common. That's why it's important to include healthy fats in your baby's meals from the very beginning of weaning.

As our Popote purées, compotes and starches contain no added fats, we recommend complementing them with a drizzle of oil or a little butter.

Quintesens Baby Oil is a carefully balanced blend of five complementary oils, specially designed to meet the nutritional needs of babies aged 4 to 36 months.

It provides:

  • 100% of your baby's daily Omega-3 needs
  • 92% of daily Vitamin E needs
  • 65% of daily DHA needs
  • 85% of daily Omega-6 needs

  • 1 bottle = approximately 50 days for babies aged 4–12 months
  • 1 bottle = approximately 25 days for toddlers aged 12–36 months

INGREDIENTS:

Organic virgin rapeseed oil, Organic high-oleic sunflower oil, Organic sunflower oil, Organic virgin flaxseed oil, Marine oil¹ rich in DHA

*From organic farming.

¹Natural oil extracted from the microalgae Schizochytrium.

Nutritional Information:

Usage tips

  • From 4 months, add 1 small teaspoon of raw oil (4 to 5 g) directly into meals once a day (purées, compotes, pasta, rice, vegetables...). From 12 months, move up to 2 small teaspoons per day. If the oil is added during cooking, it should not be heated above 140°C (gentle cooking). Do not use for frying, to preserve the nutrients and natural flavour of this oil.
  • Ideal storage: once opened, Baby Oil keeps for 1 month away from light and heat (the fridge is therefore ideal). It can be consumed beyond 1 month with no risk to Baby (it may simply lose a little of its nutritional qualities).
  • Keep out of reach of little ones: do not let your child play with the bottle or its cap, or leave them unsupervised.
  • Don't forget to recycle. Once finished, the Baby Oil should be placed in a glass recycling bin (without its cap).

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

Why add oil to Baby's meals?

Oil provides essential fatty acids that are vital for Baby's brain and nervous system development.

At what age and in what quantity should you give oil to Baby?

Oil can be introduced right from the start of weaning, around 4–6 months. Up to 1 year, around 1 teaspoon per day is recommended, then 2 teaspoons after 1 year.

Should you vary the oils you give your Baby?

Yes, it is recommended to alternate between several oils (rapeseed, olive, sunflower, walnut, fish...) to diversify nutritional intake of omega-3, 6, and 9.

Should you give Baby raw oil?

It's best to add raw oil after cooking or reheating, to preserve its nutrients and benefits.

Bonne huile pour les repas de bébé, cependant je trouve que pour le prix la contenance est un peu juste même si vu les quantités données à bébé elle durera un moment.

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

Can the products be frozen?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container beforehand (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and ready meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.

Should you add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein

None of our pouches contain any trace of cow's milk protein, except for our plain yogurt, vanilla yogurt, porridge, our meal pouches and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based yogurts: maximum discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there's no risk of cross-contamination.
