They won't pull the wool over Baby's eyes!

Organic whole grain cereals (wheat, oats, rye) and vitamin B1. The perfect way to get a little fibre boost and to introduce gluten right from the start of weaning.

Detailed description

CEREALS WHEN WEANING

Weaning is a major milestone: Baby discovers new flavours and new textures. It is recommended to introduce baby cereals from 6 months when Baby is ready to start weaning.

This is the perfect time to introduce simple, organic cereals suited to their age. Baby cereals complement their diet beautifully and help them discover new textures (as porridge, in a bottle, in savoury or sweet pancakes…), stock up on energy thanks to whole grain cereals, get used to gluten gently right from the start of weaning, and benefit from essential nutrients, such as vitamin B1, important for growth and development.

WHEAT, OAT AND RYE CEREALS BY POPOTE

At Popote, we created organic whole grain cereals for babies, made with wheat, oat and rye, enriched with vitamin B1, with no added sugars or additives. A simple, wholesome and tasty recipe to support your little one through weaning.
Contains gluten. May contain traces of milk, soya, mustard and lupin.

How do you prepare the cereals?

In a bottle or a bowl, with formula or breast milk — it's up to you.
Add the desired amount of milk and cereals.
Mix well and off you go, Baby!
In a bottle, as porridge, in savoury or sweet pancakes — the choice is yours.

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

At what age should you start cereals for Baby?

As soon as you start introducing starchy foods, you can introduce baby cereals, between 4 and 6 months.

Why give baby cereals to your little one?

First things first — baby cereals aren't essential. That said, they're still interesting ingredients to introduce: carbohydrates, fibre… they provide starchy goodness and can help with introducing gluten as early as possible.

Do Popote baby cereals contain gluten?

Yes, Popote baby cereals contain gluten, as they include wheat and oats. This allows you to introduce this allergen from an early age.

Why whole grains at Popote?

It's a great way to top up on fibre. Easy does it for Baby's digestion.

Is cadmium present in baby cereals and how is it controlled?

Cadmium is subject to strict regulation in infant food, particularly in cereals intended for babies.

At Popote, it is therefore included in our monitoring plans, and we apply a stricter requirement with a maximum threshold lower than that set by regulations for our cereal ingredients.

We require our suppliers to carry out systematic analyses on every batch of raw materials before use, and we conduct regular checks on our finished products.

Everything you need to know about my popote

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

Can the products be frozen?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container beforehand (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and ready meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.

Should you add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein

None of our pouches contain any trace of cow's milk protein, except for our plain yogurt, vanilla yogurt, porridge, our meal pouches and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based yogurts: maximum discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there's no risk of cross-contamination.
