Detailed description
WHAT IS VITAMIN D FOR AND WHERE DO YOU FIND IT?
Vitamin D is essential for the proper functioning of our bodies. It plays a key role in bone and muscle tissue quality as well as in strengthening our immune system.
We meet our daily vitamin D needs through sun exposure and consuming foods rich in vitamin D. It is recommended to maintain a balanced and varied diet and to eat two portions of fish per week, including one portion of oily fish.
WHY DO BABIES NEED TO BE SUPPLEMENTED?
In children, vitamin D is essential for their health to:
- Reduce the risk of rickets
- Support the growth and development of their bones
- Ensure good absorption and use of calcium
- Maintain a healthy immune system
In particular, exclusively breastfed babies depend on the vitamin D content of hindmilk (the milk at the end of a feed), as studies show that this end-of-feed milk is richer in vitamin D than foremilk (the first milk of a feed). Breast milk is a poor source of vitamin D. Exclusively breastfed babies receive less than 20% of the daily intake recommended by the Institute of Medicine for children during the first year of life. Supplementation is recommended for breastfed infants, even if you consume 10 to 50 µg of vitamin D per day.
According to the French Society of Paediatrics, all infants must be supplemented with vitamin D, whether breastfed or not, at a level of 400 IU/day, i.e. 10 µg per day.
JOLLY MAMA'S SUNNY BABY VITAMIN D3
Jolly Mama's Vitamin D3 helps meet the recommended vitamin D intake, it is of plant-based origin, and highly absorbed by the body. The formula is clean, preservative-free, 100% plant-based and made in France!
The bonus? A pipette for ultra-precise dosing.
Give 3 drops per day — that's 10 mg or 400 IU (international units) — unless your paediatrician advises otherwise — in a glass of water or directly into the mouth. Make sure to follow the dosage carefully to avoid overdosing.
One bottle lasts 83 days, just over two and a half months.
Usage tips
- Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of young children.
- Food supplements should be used as part of a healthy lifestyle and should not be used as substitutes for a varied and balanced diet.
- Do not consume other supplements containing vitamin D. Vitamin and mineral supplementation for infants (0–1 year) and young children (1–3 years) should be carried out under medical supervision.
- This product is not a medicine.

Can the products be frozen?
Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container beforehand (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!
Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?
Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and ready meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.
Should you add fat to your products?
There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.
My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein
None of our pouches contain any trace of cow's milk protein, except for our plain yogurt, vanilla yogurt, porridge, our meal pouches and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based yogurts: maximum discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there's no risk of cross-contamination.
