Tell us about your analyses, Popote

Transparency matters (a lot) to Popote.

Here you'll find the batch analyses for our baby formulas, along with a few pointers to help you understand the results.

In Europe, infant formulas are subject to extremely strict regulation and very high standards.

Each analysis is part of a global monitoring plan, designed to guarantee the safety of infants.

Starting with nutrition

Of course, we verify all sensory characteristics (colour, appearance, smell) in accordance with the NF ISO 22935-2 standard relating to the sensory analysis of milk and dairy products.

And we ensure that the quantities of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and amino acids meet the minimum and maximum thresholds in line with regulations and the baby's age, using in particular official standards (ISO/AFNOR).

And of course, on the microbiology side

We apply a strictly zero-tolerance policy for certain micro-organisms (salmonella, listeria...) in line with the applicable regulatory requirements. Other substances naturally present in the environment (nitrates, heavy metals, toxins) are subject to a risk-based assessment with reference thresholds not to be exceeded.

As an example, here are the analyses carried out on the finished product for Popote stage 1:

Microbiological analyses & contaminants Method
Salmonella PCR -BIO 12/38- 06/16
Cronobacter spp PCR - BIO 12/42- 03/18

*The cereulide analysis is carried out on an atomised base (before the powder is packaged in tins). It is now integrated into the monitoring plans for productions after February 2026 (with zero tolerance / not quantified).
