Detailed description

POPOTE'S CHICKEN PURÉE FOR BABY

The perfect Popote for our little chick!

Introduce proteins into Baby's weaning journey from 4/6 months stress-free with Popote's 100% organic meat pouches. Simply steamed and blended, the meat is mixed with potato for texture and… that's it!

Popote figured you'd rather spend time with Baby than in the kitchen, so no stress — grab a Popote and cook in 3 minutes flat. The on-the-go version of the classic baby jar!

THE RECIPE FOR BABY

Unlike classic baby jars, we provide the meat separately from the vegetables so you can create whatever menus you like for Baby's meals.

The tasty idea to surprise Baby from 7 months: a chicken shepherd's pie. For older little ones, try our delicious nuggets made with baby chicken purée.

THE FAMOUS 50/50...

At Popote, we want to introduce Baby to the great taste of meat from the earliest age. We offer a wide choice of meats, carefully selected and blended. We then pack them into our adorable little pouches that are oh-so practical. If we add 29% (yes, we're precise about these things!) of potato to our meat purées, it's to guarantee a good texture — but above all to ensure that the protein content in each little pouch matches the daily dose Baby can safely absorb. Here's how it works: 1/3 pouch = 10 g of meat, 2/3 pouch = 20 g of meat, and 1 full pouch = 30 g of meat. Baby will want to grow up very fast (but not too fast)!

Usage advice

  • If this pouch has not been warmed, it can be kept at room temperature and up to 36 hours in the fridge after opening. Portionable and resealable, it can be reused provided hygienic storage conditions are maintained.
  • Designed to preserve the ingredients, this little pouch is made without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations and packaged under a protective atmosphere.
  • Feel free to get creative in the kitchen and make your own recipes — but never let a child under 36 months play with the cap or without supervision!
  • Don't forget to recycle. All our pouches, including their caps, can go straight into the recycling bin!

Everything you need to know about Chicken

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

At what age should chicken be introduced into Baby's diet?

Chicken can be given from 4 or 6 months, depending on when weaning begins, as a smooth purée, to start discovering animal proteins.

How much chicken should you offer a young baby?

Before 6 months, it's a maximum of 5g per day — and it's not compulsory. Between 6 months and 1 year, you move up to 10g of meat per day, and 20g after 1 year.

How many days a week should we give chicken?

Chicken can be offered 2 to 3 times a week, alternating with other meats, fish or egg, to vary sources of protein and iron.

And how much Popote chicken should you give?

There's 30 g of chicken in one Popote — the rest is potato and water, for a perfect texture. So 10 g of meat = 20 g of Popote. Between 6 months and 1 year, one Popote makes 3 meals.

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

Can the products be frozen?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to guarantee their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be altered by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container first (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been defrosted.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetable and brassé pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and little dish pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.

Do you need to add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is life for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein

None of our pouches contain traces of cow's milk protein except our plain brassé, vanilla brassé, porridge, our little dishes and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based brassés: a world of discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so no risk of cross-contamination.
