Detailed description

POPOTE'S BABY VEAL PURÉE

To mix things up during the introduction of proteins in Baby's food diversification from 4/6 months, grab a Popote veal pouch and get creative with adapted, original recipes. Popote does the hard work for you by preparing the veal in advance. With slow steam cooking, the meat keeps all its goodness. We add a little mashed potato for texture. And... That's it!

THE FAMOUS 50/50...

At Popote, we want to introduce Baby to the great taste of meat from an early age. We offer you a wide choice of meats, carefully selected and blended. We then pack them into our adorable little pouches that are as practical as they are cute. If we add 50% (yes, we're that precise!) of potato to our meat purées, it's to ensure a good texture — but above all to make sure the protein content in each little pouch matches the daily amount Baby can safely absorb. Here's how it works: 1/3 pouch = 10 g of meat, 2/3 pouch = 20 g of meat, and 1 full pouch = 30 g of meat. Baby will want to grow up fast (but not too fast, please)!

THE RECIPE FOR BABY

Unlike classic baby food jars, we serve the meat separately from the vegetables so you can create whatever menus you like for Baby's meals.

From 12 months, pair the baby veal purée with carrot purée and sweet potato purée. Gently cook a finely chopped onion, stir it in, warm everything together with a knob of butter.

Find all our recipes on Popote Minute. Share your recipe ideas with us by email at bonjour@popote-bb.fr 📩. We'll be happy to reshare them (and test them, of course!).

Usage advice

  • If this pouch has not been warmed up, it can be kept at room temperature and for up to 36 hours in the fridge after opening. Portionable and resealable, it can be reused provided hygienic storage conditions are maintained.
  • Designed to preserve the ingredients, this little pouch is manufactured without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations and packaged under a protective atmosphere.
  • Feel free to unleash your culinary creativity by creating your own recipes, but do not let children under 36 months play with the cap or without supervision!
  • Don't forget to recycle. All our pouches, including their caps, can go straight into the recycling bin!

Everything you need to know about Veal

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

When should you introduce veal into Baby's diet?

Veal can be given from 4 to 6 months, as a smooth, well-cooked purée. It is a lean meat that can be introduced right from the start of weaning, with no obligation before 6 months.

How much veal to give depending on age?

Before 6 months, meat is a maximum of 5g. Between 6 months and 1 year, around 10g per day is recommended, then 20g after 1 year.

How often should you give veal to Baby?

Veal can be given 1 to 2 times a week, alternating with other meats, fish or egg, to ensure a balanced nutritional intake.

What portion of Popote veal equals one meal?

Each Popote contains 30 g of veal, complemented by potato and water for a perfectly smooth texture. Between 6 months and 1 year, one Popote equals 3 meals, i.e. approximately 10 g of meat per serving.

Not a favorite of baby. He refused to eat it and its texture was a bit grainy.

Everything you need to know about my popote

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

Can the products be frozen?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to guarantee their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be altered by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container first (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been defrosted.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetable and brassé pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and little dish pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.

Do you need to add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is life for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein

None of our pouches contain traces of cow's milk protein except our plain brassé, vanilla brassé, porridge, our little dishes and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based brassés: a world of discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so no risk of cross-contamination.
