When life hands you a hot potato… or a cold one!

You know what? Baby loves it in every form. Organic mashed potato is the ultimate comfort carb — it goes with absolutely everything.

Detailed description

POPOTE’S POTATO PURÉE FOR BABIES

The star of starchy foods is making its way onto Baby’s plate! Smooth and filling, Popote potato purée is perfect from the very start of weaning.

We love it because it knows how to stay in the background to let vegetables shine… while also giving meals more substance. From 4–6 months, it becomes the ideal partner for half-vegetable, half-starchy purées. With a little veal, beef or fish, it’s even better.

As always, Popote is 100% organic and free from unnecessary extras. Because simplicity is what’s best for Baby.

RECIPE FOR BABIES

From 8 months: serve the potato purée with flaked pollock and a knob of butter. A plateful that fills little tummies and delights them too!

All our baby recipes can be found on Popote Minute. Send us your recipe ideas by email at bonjour@popote-bb.fr 📩. We won’t hesitate to share them again (and test them too!).

Usage tips

  • Store at room temperature before opening.
  • To warm up: place the pouch in a bain-marie or pour its contents into a bowl and heat in the microwave. Always check the temperature before serving. Never put the pouch directly in the microwave.
  • If the pouch has not been warmed, it can be kept sealed in the fridge and reused up to 48 hours after opening. Portionable and resealable, they can be reused provided hygienic storage conditions are met.
  • Designed to preserve the ingredients. Made without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations. Packaged in a protective atmosphere.
  • Do not let children under 36 months play with the cap, or leave them unsupervised!

Everything you need to know about Potato

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

At what age should you introduce potato to your baby?

From 4 to 6 months, cooked and well-blended potato is perfect as a smooth purée to start weaning.

How much potato should you give your baby?

Between 4 and 6 months, blend 1/4 starchy foods (potato) with 3/4 vegetables. From 6 months onwards, gradually move towards half and half, and start introducing new textures with small, melt-in-the-mouth pieces.

What if you fancy a bit of variety?

Easy! You can mix things up with other starchy foods: rice, pasta, semolina, barley… and don't forget wholegrain versions for extra fibre and flavour!

What about introducing gluten?

No need to panic! Gluten can be introduced right from the start of weaning (around 4–6 months).
The idea: gradually and regularly introduce the foods your family eats (eggs, gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, dairy, etc.).

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

Can the products be frozen?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container beforehand (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and ready meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.

Should you add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein

None of our pouches contain any trace of cow's milk protein, except for our plain yogurt, vanilla yogurt, porridge, our meal pouches and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based yogurts: maximum discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there's no risk of cross-contamination.
