Detailed description
POLENTA PURÉE FOR BABY BY POPOTE
When weaning, mix up the starches! After rice, semolina or pasta, polenta arrives to take Baby's taste buds on a journey from 4/6 months.
Easy to pair with vegetables or a small portion of meat/fish (ham, chicken, Alaska pollock… it's an open buffet), polenta is ideal for creating complete, balanced meals. Like all our Popote products, it's 100% organic, no additives, just goodness.
Chef's tip: at the start, think of the 1/4 starch – 3/4 vegetables rule. Then from 6/8 months, move to 50/50. Baby will feel like they're having a grown-up meal!
THE RECIPE FOR BABY
From 8 months: serve the polenta purée with a few cubes of melt-in-the-mouth carrots and a little of our warmed turkey pouch. A proper complete meal, simple and delicious.
All our recipes can be found on the Popote Minute. Feel free to share your recipe ideas with us by email at bonjour@popote-bb.fr 📩. We'll be happy to reshare them (and test them!).
Usage tips
- Store at room temperature before opening.
- To warm up: place the pouch in a bain-marie or pour its contents into a bowl and heat in the microwave. Check the temperature before serving. Never put the pouch directly in the microwave.
- If the pouch has not been warmed, it can be kept sealed in the fridge and reused up to 48 hours after opening. Portionable and resealable, pouches can be reused provided hygienic storage conditions are maintained.
- Designed to preserve the ingredients. Made without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations. Packaged under a protective atmosphere.
- Do not let children under 36 months play with the cap, or leave them unsupervised!

Can the products be frozen?
Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container beforehand (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!
Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?
Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and ready meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.
Should you add fat to your products?
There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.
My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein
None of our pouches contain any trace of cow's milk protein, except for our plain yogurt, vanilla yogurt, porridge, our meal pouches and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based yogurts: maximum discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there's no risk of cross-contamination.
