Detailed description

WEANING: WHERE DO YOU START?

How much baby formula should Baby have at the start of weaning?
How do you get started?
Which vegetable or fruit should you introduce first?
How much starch and protein?
How do you introduce healthy fats, and why are they important?
When should you introduce allergens?

Popote is here to guide you through this important milestone in your baby's life and help you feel confident throughout the weaning journey.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR STARTING WEANING WITH POPOTE

To help you go further, Popote has created a weaning box that makes discovering new flavours easy and enjoyable for Baby.

The box includes single-ingredient pouches, perfect for introducing foods one at a time.

Organic, gluten-free, GMO-free, preservative-free, and made in France: nothing but the good stuff!

To make things even easier, the box also includes an organic vegetable oil, ideal for introducing healthy fats into Baby's diet from the very beginning of weaning.

Whether you're introducing textures, allergens, or simply want guidance through the key stages of weaning, explore our dedicated talks, designed to help you every step of the way.

Can the products be frozen?

Our (delicious) little purées are cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to preserve them.
You can freeze them, provided you follow a few guidelines (though the ingredients may lose a little flavour):
– Don’t put the pouch straight into the freezer, as freezing may affect its structure.
– First pour the contents into a suitable container (an ice cube tray, for example), or cook with them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product once it has thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to make recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

How long does a pouch keep once opened?

Once opened, our baby food pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yoghurt-style blends, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and little meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically with the cap firmly closed.

Should I add fat to your products?

Our pouches contain no added fat (except the two Little Meals pouches).
And as you’ve probably guessed, babies need fat! You can therefore add one teaspoon of oil a day to the purée between 4 and 12 months, and two teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, after heating it up.

My baby is allergic to cow’s milk protein

None of our pouches contain traces of cow’s milk protein, except our plain and vanilla yoghurt-style blends, porridge, little meals and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don’t worry! We’ve thought of that too with our plant-based blends: plenty for babies with a cow’s milk protein allergy to discover, including Oat & Apple and Coconut & Banana (please note that these are low in calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there’s no risk of cross-contamination.
