Detailed description
How do you start weaning? Which fruits and vegetables should you introduce first? How much should Baby eat? When should you add healthy fats?
With the Popote Weaning Box, you'll have everything you need to confidently begin your baby's weaning journey. Because becoming a parent doesn't come with an instruction manual—and we're here to help.
Why choose the Popote Weaning Box?
The Popote Weaning Box makes introducing solids simple, stress-free, and enjoyable. Our single-ingredient organic purées are perfect for introducing one food at a time, helping Baby discover the natural taste of each ingredient.
All our Popote purées are:
- 100% organic
- Made in France
- Free from added sugar and salt
A complete weaning guide
Inside, you'll find our practical guide covering everything you need to know about weaning, including:
- Baby-led weaning (BLW): is it right for your family?
- Breastfeeding or formula feeding during weaning.
- When and how to start introducing solids.
- Which fruits and vegetables to introduce first.
- How much starch, protein, and healthy fats Baby needs.
- Why healthy fats are important.
- When and how to introduce common allergens.
All of our advice has been created with Popote nutritionist and dietitian Laetitia.
Handy weaning cheat sheets
You'll also receive 7 practical weaning guides covering every stage from 4 to 12 months, with sample menus and portion recommendations.
Wondering:
- What does a typical menu look like at 4 or 6 months?
- How much meat or fish should an 8-month-old eat?
We've got you covered.
Plus, helpful extras
Because healthy fats are an essential part of Baby's meals, we've included a bottle of Quintesens Baby Oil, a blend of five carefully selected oils that provides essential fatty acids. Simply add it to your Popote purées from 4 months onwards.
You'll also receive:
- A Popote bib.
- An ice cube tray for storing leftover purée after opening a pouch (colour may vary from box to box).

Based on the latest recommendations
All the guidance included in the Popote Weaning Box follows the latest recommendations from ANSES on infant weaning.
In short, from around 4 months (when your healthcare professional advises your baby is ready), you can gradually introduce a wide variety of foods—including common allergens—as long as they're cooked appropriately and served in a smooth texture.
Trust yourself—you've got this!
Directions for use
- If the pouches have not been warmed up, they can be kept at room temperature and for up to 48 hours in the fridge after opening. Portionable and resealable, they can be reused provided hygienic storage conditions are met.
- Designed to preserve the ingredients, our little baby purée pouches are manufactured without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations and packaged under a protective atmosphere.
- Feel free to unleash your culinary creativity by making your own recipes for baby, but do not leave children under 36 months to play with the cap or unsupervised!
- Don't forget to recycle. All our pouches, including their caps, can go straight into the recycling bin!

Can the products be frozen?
Our (delicious) little purées are cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to preserve them.
You can freeze them, provided you follow a few guidelines (though the ingredients may lose a little flavour):
– Don’t put the pouch straight into the freezer, as freezing may affect its structure.
– First pour the contents into a suitable container (an ice cube tray, for example), or cook with them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product once it has thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to make recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!
How long does a pouch keep once opened?
Once opened, our baby food pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yoghurt-style blends, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and little meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically with the cap firmly closed.
Should I add fat to your products?
Our pouches contain no added fat (except the two Little Meals pouches).
And as you’ve probably guessed, babies need fat! You can therefore add one teaspoon of oil a day to the purée between 4 and 12 months, and two teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, after heating it up.
My baby is allergic to cow’s milk protein
None of our pouches contain traces of cow’s milk proteins, apart from our plain and vanilla creamy blends, porridge, little meals and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don’t worry! We’ve thought of that too with our plant-based creamy blends: plenty for babies with cow’s milk protein allergy to discover in Oat & Apple and Coconut & Banana (please note that they’re low in calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there’s no risk of cross-contamination.
