Detailed description

Pack of 6 Popote stage 3 growing-up milks

Baby has specific needs to grow well. Weaning alone cannot give Baby everything they need: plenty of iron and essential fatty acids for healthy development. And regular cow's milk doesn't contain all these nutrients, which are essential for Baby.
Drinking stage 3 growing-up milk is therefore a complementary addition to their regular diet.

Popote Growing-Up powder milk is made from organic farming, produced with French cow's milk, palm oil free (we went for cream instead — yum!) and it's made in France in Montauban (très français!).

It comes after stage 2 follow-on formula. If Baby is well into weaning, they can start stage 3 milk from 10 months. Otherwise, it's best to wait until 12 months. It is generally recommended to give stage 3 growing-up milk up to the age of 3.

The Popote baby formula range — we designed it to be fuss-free and straightforward, suited to all parenting styles, just like all our products.

Where do our ingredients come from?

86.2% are French (including collected milk), 13.6% are European, and we source 0.3% of our ingredients from a bit further afield, as the required expertise doesn't exist in France or Europe.

The analyses of our infant milks

Every batch of infant formula undergoes hundreds of tests following a very strict and highly regulated quality control plan. Find the analysis results for each batch here.

Usage tips

  • CAUTION: do not heat the bottle in the microwave (it burns!) and follow every step of bottle preparation for Baby's health.
  • Before each use, wash everything: the bottle, the teat and your hands! Pour the required amount of water into the bottle (we recommend demineralised water — max 40°C)
  • Add the corresponding number of level scoops — 1 scoop = 30mL of water
  • Close the bottle and shake vigorously — SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE! Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist
  • The bottle must be prepared just before feeding and can only be kept for 1 hour. Only use the scoop included in this box — it's got everything going for it. Remember to close the box properly and store it in a dry place (max 4 weeks after opening).

Important notice

Breast milk is the very best thing for Baby — we'll always be the first to say so.

The WHO recommends it exclusively until 6 months.

But at Popote, we also believe there are 1,000 ways to be a parent. So if you don't want to or can't breastfeed, we're here for you too. Popote organic stage 1 infant formula is also suitable as a complement to or replacement for breastfeeding, just like all other infant formulas.

Everything you need to know about Pack of 6 Stage 3 Growing-Up Milks 800g

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

At what age should you introduce growing-up milk to your baby?

Growing-up milk can be introduced between 10 and 12 months. If your baby is already well into weaning, you can start from 10 months. However, if weaning is progressing slowly, it's better to wait until 12 months, as stage 2 formula remains richer in essential nutrients.

Is growing-up milk really useful?

Yes, it helps ensure adequate intakes of iron, vitamin D, and DHA — nutrients that are often lacking even in a varied diet at this age.

How much growing-up milk should you give each day?

We recommend around 500 to 750 ml of "dairy products" per day, of which at least 500 ml should come from growing-up milk.

What is the difference between growing-up milk and cow's milk?

Growing-up milk aims to get closer to breast milk (without ever matching it): it contains less protein than cow's milk, more iron, essential fatty acids such as DHA (in the case of Popote), as well as vitamins and minerals tailored to your baby's needs.

Everything you need to know about your infant formula

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

What is Popote infant formula?

Popote infant formula is a no-nonsense, straightforward formula that supports all kinds of parenthood.
Our formula is:
SAFE: a clear and transparent recipe developed by an expert in organic infant formula.
CLEAN: caring for the planet — organic, made in France, and palm oil-free.
BY YOUR SIDE: and of course supporting all parenthoods and championing free and informed choice.

Is there palm oil in your infant formulas?

We have chosen not to include palm oil in our infant formulas. Fats and fatty acids are essential for your baby's healthy development. In our formulas, you'll find vegetable oils (organic, naturally) and milk cream — but no palm oil. Palm oil (rich in palmitic acid, a key component of breast milk) is, due to its overuse, a driver of deforestation in many countries.

Where does the cow's milk used come from?

The milk comes from cows raised in France on human-scale farms. The milk collected comes mainly from the South-West and the Massif Central, and on occasion from the South-East. The cows are fed primarily on fodder and grass and raised in accordance with animal welfare standards, following the rules of organic farming.

What is DHA?

DHA is an essential fatty acid found in breast milk that is added to infant formula. It is essential for the healthy development and functioning of the brain and eyesight. It is incorporated into infant formula through vegetable oils and fish or algae oils respectively. The addition of DHA to formulas became mandatory in 2020. DHA is naturally present in oily fish in the diet, and can also be of plant origin from the Schizochytrium algae.
