Detailed description

POPOTE'S TURKEY BABY PURÉE

Wild about turkey!

To easily introduce meat proteins into Baby's weaning journey, nothing could be simpler with Popote pouches. You save time on prep and, best of all, you have total freedom to create tailored recipes for Baby. Popote prepares 100% organic meat for you, gently steam-cooked and blended to achieve a smooth texture that will tantalise their taste buds.

A little jar of baby turkey purée? Yes Mama! We've simply steam-cooked the turkey gently, blended it with a touch of potato for texture, and BOOM! A turkey Popote to delight little tummies and make parents' lives easier.

THE BABY RECIPE

Unlike traditional baby jars, we offer meat separately from vegetables so you can create whatever menus you like for baby's mealtimes.

Warm up the baby turkey purée, add some warmed sweetcorn purée with a roux. Here is a "deconstructed turkey escalope suitable from 4/6 months" served with delicious sweetcorn! You can also opt for a scrumptious turkey and swede cottage pie.

THE FAMOUS 50/50...

At Popote, we want to help Baby discover the delicious taste of meat right from the start. That’s why we offer a wide range of meats, carefully selected and blended. We then pack them into our super cute and handy little pouches. If we add 29% (yes, we're that precise!) of potatoes to our meat purées, it’s to ensure a great texture, but above all, to ensure that the protein content in our little pouch matches the daily amount Baby can safely assimilate. Let’s break it down: 1/3 pouch = 10 g meat, 2/3 pouch = 20g meat, and 1 pouch = 30 g meat. Baby will want to grow up fast (not too fast, though)!

Usage advice

  • If this pouch has not been warmed up, it can be kept at room temperature and for up to 36 hours in the fridge after opening. Portionable and resealable, it can be reused provided hygienic storage conditions are maintained.
  • Designed to preserve the ingredients, this little pouch is made without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations and packaged in a protective atmosphere.
  • Feel free to unleash your culinary creativity by making your own recipes, but never let children under 36 months play with the cap or without supervision!
  • Don't forget to recycle. All our pouches, including their caps, can go straight into the recycling bin!

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

At what age can Baby have turkey?

Turkey can be introduced from 4 to 6 months, as a smooth, well-cooked purée, to introduce Baby to white meats — an easy way to get started.

How many grams of turkey should you give depending on Baby's age?

Before 6 months, meat is optional, with a maximum of 5 g if you wish to start. Between 6 months and 1 year, around 10 g per day is recommended, then 20 g after 1 year.

How many times a week can Baby eat turkey?

Like chicken, as it is a white meat, it can be offered 2, or even 3 times a week, alternating with fish, egg...

What portion of Popote turkey for one meal?

Each Popote contains 30 g of turkey. We also add potato and water for just the right texture. Between 6 months and 1 year, one Popote makes 3 meals, which is around 10 g of meat per portion.

1001 WAYS TO POPOTE

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

Can the products be frozen?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to guarantee their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be altered by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container first (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been defrosted.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetable and brassé pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and little dish pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.

Do you need to add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is life for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein

None of our pouches contain traces of cow's milk protein except our plain brassé, vanilla brassé, porridge, our little dishes and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based brassés: a world of discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so no risk of cross-contamination.
