The essentials for Baby's snack time!

Let us introduce our favourite Popote fruits and dairy products: our Plain Stirred Yogurt, Vanilla Stirred Yogurt and Porridge. Perfect for snack time, they can be mixed endlessly for Baby's greatest delight.

Detailed description

The snack pack for Baby from 6 months: Plain stirred yogurt, Vanilla stirred yogurt , Porridge, Popote Apple, Apricot and Banana

The must-have to slip into Baby's bag!
For snack time at nursery, in the park, in the car, on the train or simply at home (because you can't be bothered, Mama, and that's perfectly fine).
Easy to take along and a breeze for Baby to eat, they're ideal from 6 months.

Enjoy them one by one or mixed together (the Popote Apple and Porridge combo — trust us, it's a winner!).

Please note: until the age of one, dairy products do not replace a breastfeed or bottle — Baby should drink at least 500ml of breast milk or baby formula per day.

Recipe idea for baby from 6 months: Apple Peach cream
In a small bowl, pour one Popote Porridge, then spoon 1/2 Popote Apple on one side and 1/2 Popote Peach on the other.
Baby is going to AB-SO-LUTE-LY love it!

Popote Porridge may contain gluten.

Usage tips

  • Store at room temperature before opening.
  • Shake before use. Once opened, keep the pouch tightly closed in the fridge and use within 48 hours.
  • Feel free to get creative in the kitchen and make your own recipes for your little one — but never let children under 36 months play with the cap or use it unsupervised!
  • Don't forget to recycle. All our pouches and their caps can go straight into the recycling bin!

Frequently asked questions from our customers and community

At what age do we start snacks?

Before 6 months, if you've started weaning, you can't really call it a snack — it's 2 or 3 spoonfuls at most. "Real" snacks with fruit and dairy, that's more from 6 months onwards.

What snack can you offer Baby from 6 months?

From 6 months, you can offer a small fruit compote (2 to 3 spoonfuls to begin with) alongside a breastfeed or a bottle of baby formula, which remains the main source of nutrition.

What snack should you give Baby around 8 months?

From 8 months, Baby can enjoy a fruit compote paired with a yogurt-style pot, while continuing to prioritise breast milk or baby formula.

Frequently asked questions from our customers and community

Can you freeze the products?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):

  • Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
  • Pour them into a suitable container first (an ice cube tray, for example), or cook them before freezing.
  • Never refreeze a product that has already been defrosted.

Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Once opened, fruits, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches keep for 48 hours in the fridge, and 36 hours for little meals and meat/fish. And of course, you can freeze the rest of your pouches by pouring them into an ice cube tray — perfect for making handy little portions ready to whip out when Baby is hungry.

Should you add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add one teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

Can you warm up the pouches?

Just like glass baby food jars, our pouches can be warmed up. At Popote, we recommend pouring the contents of your pouches into a suitable container before heating in the microwave or in a bain-marie. Make sure to check the temperature of the food before giving it to your baby.
WARNING: never put the pouch directly in the microwave. Never store a pouch whose contents have already been warmed up in its packaging.
