Detailed description

POPOTE'S BEEF PURÉE FOR BABIES

How do you introduce protein into your baby's weaning journey from 4 or 6 months? Simple as can be with Popote.

We've prepared little pouches of minced meat for you: beef, ham, turkey… you're spoilt for choice! The on-the-go version of the classic baby pot. Steam-cooked, the meats are blended and mixed with potato for texture. And nothing else!

At Popote, no preservatives, no unnecessary extras. All our ingredients are certified 100% organic — so why deprive Baby of all these good things? ;)

THE RECIPE FOR BABY

Unlike classic baby pots, we offer the meat separately from the vegetables so you can create whatever menus you like for baby's meals.

For a taste of Italy from 12 months, warm up a little tomato purée, carrot purée and beef purée. Mix it all together with some cooked fine pasta and serve with a knob of butter and grated gruyère. A simple, quick recipe for Baby.

All our recipes can be found on Popote Minute. Share your recipe ideas with us by email at bonjour@popote-bb.fr 📩. We'll be more than happy to share them on (and taste them!).

THE FAMOUS 50/50...

At Popote, we want Baby to discover the wonderful taste of meat from the very earliest age. We offer you a wide choice of meats, carefully selected and blended. We then pack them into our adorable little pouches that are oh-so practical. If we add 29% (yes, we're precise about these things!) of potato to our meat purées, it's to guarantee a good texture — but above all to ensure that the protein content in each pouch matches the daily amount Baby can safely absorb. Here's how it works: 1/3 pouch = 10 g of meat, 2/3 pouch = 20 g of meat, and 1 full pouch = 30 g of meat. Baby will want to grow up very fast (but not too fast, mind you)!

Usage advice

  • If this pouch has not been heated, it can be kept at room temperature and for up to 36 hours in the fridge after opening. Portionable and resealable, it can be reused provided hygienic storage conditions are maintained.
  • Designed to preserve the ingredients, this little pouch is manufactured without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations and packaged under a protective atmosphere.
  • Feel free to unleash your culinary creativity by creating your own recipes, but never let a child under 36 months play with the cap or without supervision!
  • Don't forget to sort your waste. All our pouches, including their caps, can go straight into the recycling bin!

Everything you need to know about Beef

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

When should beef be introduced to Baby?

Beef can be introduced from 4 to 6 months, as a smooth, well-cooked purée, to provide a first source of iron and animal protein.

How much beef should be given depending on age?

Before 6 months, meat is optional and limited to a maximum of 5 g if you'd like to start introducing it. Between 6 months and 1 year, we recommend around 10 g per day, then 20 g after 1 year.

How many times a week can Baby eat beef?

Red meat is once a week, alternating with other meats, fish or egg, to keep things varied.

What quantity of Popote beef for one meal?

Each Popote contains 30 g of beef, complemented by potato and water for a perfectly smooth texture. Between 6 months and 1 year, one Popote equals 3 meals, i.e. 10 g of meat per portion.

Everything you need to know about my popote

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

Can the products be frozen?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to guarantee their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be altered by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container first (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been defrosted.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetable and brassé pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and little dish pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.

Do you need to add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is life for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein

None of our pouches contain traces of cow's milk protein except our plain brassé, vanilla brassé, porridge, our little dishes and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based brassés: a world of discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so no risk of cross-contamination.
