Detailed description
When you become a parent—and even during pregnancy—it's completely normal to feel a little overwhelmed. Babies don't come with an instruction manual, after all! That's why Popote is here to help. We've created this guide to support you through one of Baby's biggest milestones: starting solids. You'll also find this booklet in our baby weaning box.. Every baby is different, and no one knows yours better than you do. Think of this guide as a source of practical advice and recommendations that you can adapt to suit your baby's needs, your family, and your lifestyle. Trust your instincts—you've got this, Mama!

Can the products be frozen?
Our (delicious) little purées are cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to preserve them.
You can freeze them, provided you follow a few guidelines (though the ingredients may lose a little flavour):
– Don’t put the pouch straight into the freezer, as freezing may affect its structure.
– First pour the contents into a suitable container (an ice cube tray, for example), or cook with them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product once it has thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to make recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!
How long does a pouch keep once opened?
Once opened, our baby food pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yoghurt-style blends, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and little meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically with the cap firmly closed.
Should I add fat to your products?
Our pouches contain no added fat (except the two Little Meals pouches).
And as you’ve probably guessed, babies need fat! You can therefore add one teaspoon of oil a day to the purée between 4 and 12 months, and two teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, after heating it up.
My baby is allergic to cow’s milk protein
None of our pouches contain traces of cow’s milk proteins, apart from our plain and vanilla creamy blends, porridge, little meals and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don’t worry! We’ve thought of that too with our plant-based creamy blends: plenty for babies with cow’s milk protein allergy to discover in Oat & Apple and Coconut & Banana (please note that they’re low in calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there’s no risk of cross-contamination.
