Discovering fruit purées Popote!
Fancy letting your baby try (or rediscover) our little pouches? This discovery pack lets you offer them fruit purées, ready to be mixed together or with your homemade purées.

Detailed description

Baby fruit pouches from 4/6 months!

To introduce you — and Baby — to our delicious Popote organic baby pouches, made in France. We've brought together in this pack our best fruit compotes for the start of weaning.

Strawberry, like tomato, aubergine and spinach, is a fruit or vegetable naturally high in histamine. Some babies may have a skin reaction to histamine — it's rare and usually mild. Have a chat with your favourite paediatrician if it happens to Baby.

Usage tips

  • Store at room temperature before opening.
  • To heat: place the pouch in a bain-marie or pour its contents into a bowl and microwave. Check the temperature before serving. Never put the pouch directly in the microwave.
  • If the pouch has not been heated, it can be kept tightly closed in the fridge and reused up to 48 hours after opening. Portionable and resealable, the pouches can be reused provided hygienic storage conditions are maintained.
  • Designed to preserve the ingredients. Made without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations. Packaged under a protective atmosphere.
  • Do not let children under 36 months play with the cap, or leave them unsupervised!
  • Shake before use.

Frequently asked questions from our customers and community

At what age can Baby try their first fruits?

From 4 to 6 months, you can offer smooth fruit compotes made from cooked fruits — ideal for introducing Baby to the taste of fruit.

What portion of fruit should I give at the start of weaning?

Start with 1 or 2 spoonfuls of fruit purée, then gradually increase according to your baby's appetite and pace.

Why is apple sometimes added to fruit compotes?

Apple softens the flavour of certain more acidic or sweet fruits and gives body to compotes that are too runny, while keeping the main fruit at the heart of the recipe.

How can you vary Baby's snacks?

You can combine several fruits together (apple-pear, peach-raspberry, banana-blueberry) or mix them with a dairy product or cereals to vary the textures and flavours.

Frequently asked questions from our customers and community

Can you freeze the products?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):

  • Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
  • Pour them into a suitable container first (an ice cube tray, for example), or cook them before freezing.
  • Never refreeze a product that has already been defrosted.

Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Once opened, fruits, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches keep for 48 hours in the fridge, and 36 hours for little meals and meat/fish. And of course, you can freeze the rest of your pouches by pouring them into an ice cube tray — perfect for making handy little portions ready to whip out when Baby is hungry.

Should you add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add one teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

Can you warm up the pouches?

Just like glass baby food jars, our pouches can be warmed up. At Popote, we recommend pouring the contents of your pouches into a suitable container before heating in the microwave or in a bain-marie. Make sure to check the temperature of the food before giving it to your baby.
WARNING: never put the pouch directly in the microwave. Never store a pouch whose contents have already been warmed up in its packaging.
