Detailed description
INTRODUCING TEXTURES TO BABY
After introducing as many flavours as possible to Baby during weaning from 4/6 months, it's time to move on to textures in the purée. New textures, textured purées, first lumps — how do you know Baby is ready? Smooth, thick purées are a piece of cake. Baby holds their head and back upright in their chair and can bring food to their mouth. So from 6 or 8 months, give roughly chopped or mashed foods. And add starchy foods to vegetable purées: small pasta, semolina, mashed rice, pieces of fish or meat...
TEXTURED PURÉES FOR BABY
To support you as Baby grows and offer you new textures, Popote presents its 100% organic Cauliflower and Bulgur Wheat, cooked and textured. Ideal from 8 months. Whether it's lunch or dinner, little tummies just need to tuck in! At lunchtime, don't forget to add a bit of protein — meat, fish or eggs (at 8 months that's 10g per day) — and a small drizzle of oil (1 teaspoon per day) or a knob of butter every now and then. In the evening, add some fat to the textured purée if none was had at lunch, and you're all set. Open the pouch, pop it in the microwave and off it goes straight to Baby's tummy.
And to mix things up, Popote Textured Purées also come in Sweet Potato with Quinoa, and Red Kuri Squash with Red Lentils... Baby is far from done discovering new flavours and textures.
Usage tips
- Store at room temperature before opening.
- Pour the contents of the pouch into a suitable container, or open the pouch 2cm and place it in the microwave for 30 seconds at medium power (600 Watts). Mix well and check the temperature before giving to Baby. The pouch may be hot — handle with care.
- Once opened, the pouch can be kept for 48 hours in the fridge in a suitable container.
- Pouch designed to preserve the ingredients, manufactured without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations.

Can the products be frozen?
Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container beforehand (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!
Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?
Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and ready meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.
Should you add fat to your products?
There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.
My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein
None of our pouches contain any trace of cow's milk protein, except for our plain yogurt, vanilla yogurt, porridge, our meal pouches and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based yogurts: maximum discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there's no risk of cross-contamination.
