Detailed description

INTRODUCING TEXTURES TO BABY

After introducing Baby to as many flavours as possible through weaning from 4–6 months, it’s time to move on to textures in purées. New textures, textured purées, first small pieces: how do you know Baby is ready? Smooth, thick purées are a piece of cake. Baby can hold their head and back upright in their chair and bring food to their mouth. So from 6 or 8 months, offer finely chopped or roughly mashed foods. And add starchy foods to vegetable purées: small pasta shapes, semolina, mashed rice, pieces of fish or meat...

TEXTURED PURÉES FOR BABY

Discover our delicious organic textured purée, combining the comforting sweetness of squash with the plant protein and fibre richness of red lentils. Carefully prepared in France using organic ingredients.

We created textured purées to get started introducing textures with Baby from 8 months onwards. Organic squash and organic red lentils, cooked and finely chopped… perfect for introducing new textures, and Baby will love them too. At lunchtime, add a little protein: meat, fish or eggs (at 8 months, that’s 10g a day), plus a small spoonful of oil (1 teaspoon a day) or a knob of butter now and then. In the evening, add fats to their textured purée if they haven’t had any at lunchtime, and there you have it. Open the pouch, pop it in the microwave and hop, straight to Baby’s tummy.

And to keep things interesting, Popote Textured Purées also come in Sweet Potato with Quinoa and Cauliflower with Bulgur... Baby hasn’t finished discovering new flavours and textures yet.

Usage tips

  • Store at room temperature before opening.
  • Pour the contents of the pouch into a suitable container, or open the pouch 2cm and place it in the microwave for 30 seconds on medium power (600 Watts). Mix well and check the temperature before giving to Baby. The pouch may be hot — handle with care.
  • The pouch can be kept for 48 hours in the fridge after opening, in a suitable container.
  • Pouch designed to preserve the ingredients, manufactured without bisphenol A in accordance with regulations.

Everything you need to know about Red Kuri Squash & Red Lentil Textured Purée

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

When should you start introducing textured purées?

You can offer textured purées, finely chopped and roughly mashed foods from 6 to 8 months, gradually getting Baby used to a variety of textures step by step. It is recommended to do so before 12 months.

How do I know if Baby is ready for the introduction of textures?

Smooth and thick purées are fine. Baby holds their head and back straight in their chair and can bring food to their mouth.

Can we add ingredients to the textured purée?

Yes, at lunch or dinner, add a little fat (1 teaspoon / day before 1 year, 2 teaspoons after) and some meat, fish, or eggs (10g/day before 1 year, 20g after).

What if Baby refuses their first textures?

Don't panic, it's perfectly normal — just try again later. They may simply not be quite ready yet. Let Baby touch, explore and eat with their fingers, vary the textures and flavours you offer regularly, and it'll all come together!

Everything you need to know about my popote

Frequently asked questions from our favourite parents

Can the products be frozen?

Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container beforehand (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!

Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?

Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and ready meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.

Should you add fat to your products?

There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.

My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein

None of our pouches contain any trace of cow's milk protein, except for our plain yogurt, vanilla yogurt, porridge, our meal pouches and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based yogurts: maximum discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there's no risk of cross-contamination.
