Detailed description
INTRODUCING TEXTURES TO YOUR BABY
Once your baby has discovered plenty of flavours during the introduction of solid foods from 4–6 months, it’s time to add some texture to their purées. New textures, textured purées, first lumps: how do you know your baby is ready? Smooth, thick purées are a breeze for them. They can hold their head and back upright in their high chair and bring food to their mouth. So from 6 or 8 months, you can offer finely chopped or roughly mashed foods. You can also add starchy foods to vegetable purées: small pasta shapes, couscous, mashed rice, pieces of fish or meat...
TEXTURED PURÉES FOR BABIES
Discover our organic textured sweet potato and quinoa, cooked and mashed to help your baby discover new textures from 8 months. At lunchtime, add a little protein — meat, fish or egg (10 g per day at 8 months) — and a small spoonful of oil (1 teaspoon per day), or a knob of butter now and then. In the evening, add some fat to their purée if they haven’t had any at lunchtime, and you’re all set. Open the pouch, pop it in the microwave and voilà — straight into baby’s tummy.
And for a little variety, Popote’s textured purées also come in red kuri squash with red lentils and cauliflower with bulgur... Your baby has plenty more flavours and textures to discover.

Can the products be frozen?
Our (delicious) little purées have been cooked and then sterilised (heated to a high temperature) to ensure their preservation.
You can freeze them without any problem by following a few guidelines (the ingredients may however lose a little of their flavour):
– Do not place the pouch directly in the freezer, as its structure may be affected by freezing.
– Pour the contents into a suitable container beforehand (an ice cube tray, for example) or cook them before freezing.
– Never refreeze a product that has already been thawed.
Parent tip: use our little pouches to cook recipes for your baby, then freeze them to keep them for longer!
Once opened, how long does the pouch keep?
Our baby pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours for fruit, vegetables and yogurt-style pouches, and up to 36 hours for meat, fish and ready meal pouches, provided they are stored hygienically and with the cap properly closed.
Should you add fat to your products?
There is no added fat in our pouches (except in the complete little meals).
And as you might expect, fat is essential for Baby! You can therefore add a teaspoon of oil per day between 4 and 12 months, and 2 teaspoons between 12 and 36 months, into the purée after warming it up.
My baby is allergic to cow's milk protein
None of our pouches contain any trace of cow's milk protein, except for our plain yogurt, vanilla yogurt, porridge, our meal pouches and possibly our beef and veal pouches.
But don't panic! We've thought of everything with our plant-based yogurts: maximum discovery with the Oat-Apple and Coco-Banana for babies with CMPA (please note, they contain little calcium).
Psst, all our machines are cleaned before each new production run, so there's no risk of cross-contamination.
